In my headcanon, the Greek Gods were celestial beings—in other words, aliens from space—who came upon Earth, parked their Olympus UFO in the clouds, and got freaky with a bunch of primates and imparted godliness onto them, precipitating the evolution of primates into Homo sapiens.

I figured it out.

What if gods are highly advanced, highly evolved celestial aliens?

By definition, aliens are beings or entities who originated from elsewhere.

“Alien" just has a lot of baggage as a word.

But so does “gods".

I propose we call them “extraterrestrial beings", with Greek gods being extraterrestrial beings who influenced Greece.

Hindu gods like Shiva were likely extraterrestrial beings too.

Same with Norse gods.

What if the fact that they all look anthropomorphic in bodily design just means they were made in the image of the same creator? Of God? Of Source? Of Absolute Infinity? Of the designer of the reality simulation?

How does it feel to consider humanity isn’t at the centre of the universe? And never was? How does it feel to consider we were never alone to begin with?
